# Judge for yourself: sites to explore.

Open the example sites on this page: each one is built the way yours would be. The businesses are fictional; the pages are real.

## Example sites to open and explore

Each has its own layout, colours and features, designed for its trade. Yours would be built the same way.

These businesses are fictional: I invented them to show what I build. Their texts and contact details are invented; they are not clients.

Bakery

### A bakery, on a single page

Boulangerie Exemple, a fictional businessThe whole site fits on one page: the products of the day, the craft, photos of the bakehouse and the practical information.

Filter the products by family, search for a loaf, then enlarge a photo of the bakehouse.

Bespoke joinery

### A joinery workshop, its work in photos

Menuiserie Exemple, a fictional businessTwo pages: the workshop’s work in photos, then a page that helps clients prepare their request.

Filter the wall of work by type, then open a photo to see the details of the piece.

Hair salon

### A hair salon, in three pages

Salon Exemple, a fictional businessHome, services and contact: three pages, in a light or dark theme, as the visitor prefers.

Swipe through the service families, filter the list, then switch from the light theme to the dark one.

Studio pottery

### A pottery studio, one page per piece

Céramique Exemple, a fictional businessThe pieces of a pottery studio, first as cards, then as detail pages: each piece has its own page, its photo and its tabs.

Browse the pieces as cards, open the page of a piece and switch from one tab to the next.

Music lessons

### Music lessons, filtered by instrument family

Musique Exemple, a fictional businessA music teacher’s lessons, sorted by instrument family, with a gallery of the room, in three languages.

Choose an instrument family to filter the lessons, open the photos of the room, or switch the site’s language.

Bed and breakfast

### A bed and breakfast, one page per room

Les Chambres du Vieux Noyer, a fictional businessA guesthouse with character: one page per room, its photos full size, and a site to read in French, English, German or Russian.

Open a room to enlarge its photos, then change the language at the top of the page.

## How these pages are made.

The example sites and the one you are reading come out of the same tools. Yours would be built the same way.

## Pages in HTML, in standard formats

Every page is an HTML file built in advance: its text reads without JavaScript; animations and interactive elements, such as a form, need it. Its structured data follows the Schema.org vocabulary; the site map and the share cards follow the formats that search engines and social networks read.

## One language or several

The same engine produces a site in one or several languages. Each language has its own addresses, and each page tells search engines where its versions in the other languages are. This site is in French, English and Russian; one of the example sites is also in German.

## What my tools change for you

- A correction is made in one place, and the pages that depend on it follow.
- A type of page is designed once, then serves every page of that type, in every language.
- The figures this site shows about itself are measured on its pages, never typed in by hand.

## This site’s figures

They are measured automatically on the pages you are reading. None is typed in by hand.

Outside servers contacted by the public pages

1

The “third-party hosts” your browser can contact from the public pages, as found in the site’s files.

Home page programs, compressed

75 kB

The small programs (JavaScript) the home page can load, including after it is displayed. Compressed, rounded up to the next 5 kB.

Home page: text, styling, fonts and programs, compressed

270 kB

At most what the browser downloads, images excluded: programs, even late ones, and the fonts the text may use. Compressed, rounded up to the next 10 kB.

Pages whose headings show without JavaScript

33 of 33

Pages whose headings all show without any program (JavaScript), out of the total. The contact form needs it for its anti-bot check.
